Welcome to Learning Exceptionally!​

     For nearly 20 years, I have specialized in working with students with language based learning differences. My philosophy is that every child can learn to read given the appropriate remediation. Since not every child learns in the same manner, I take into account students' interests, personality, strengths, and needs. I utilize mutli-sensory techniques, primarily through the Barton Reading System. I have seen great success with a variety of learning styles using this program. I also incorporate other resources to address fluency, comprehension, vocabulary building, and written language. Tutoring sessions are fun, engaging, and encourage development of self-confidence.
